Compound Machine Design
Summary of Project
This project began from thinking of a design to create out of VEX POE parts. The applied force was allowed to be provided by one single human output. The final design must contain three simple machines that all lead up to doing something. This particular design was created to, originally, flip a switch, but was changed to only raising a flag. The human input was to turn the wheel and axle which drops the cup of marbles onto a declined plane which then leads to them rolling into another cup and the weight raises the flag.

The system mechanical advantage had a total of 2.79.
Conclusion
The fixed pulley was the easiest to determine the mechanical advantage because it automatically has a mechanical advantage of one.
The wheel and axle was the most difficult to determine the mechanical advantage because the diameter needed to be found by using a dial-caliper.
A modification that could be made would be have to be to fix the way the cup empties onto the declined plane.
